EXPLORING NATURAL MAKEUP

Today I wanted to share a few amazing base products that I recently received from the Kiss & Makeup Apothecary website. All of their products -- beauty, skincare, fashion, etc -- are natural & organic and they feature the best picks from each category. I have always been curious to test out more makeup products from the natural realm of the beauty world, and I am happy to say that these products are fabulous (& conscious -- it's a win-win). The store is based in Vancouver, so I am so thrilled that such an amazing distributor exists in the homeland; finally us Canadian gals have access to the best natural beauty picks! They have so many amazing brands that are hard to find and the site is curated to provide the best options out of all of the natural products. I have three base products that I wanted to share with you all and I am happy to say that natural makeup does not disappoint.

I want to touch on this amazing Illuminator from Ilia first as highlighters and strobing goodies are all the rage these days. This is a cream highlighter that comes in a stick format, and it can be applied to the face to give a major kick of glow. When I first opened the package I thought that it may be a bit too gold for me, but once applied to the skin the shade turned into a beautiful champagne sheen. It is also infused with Rosehip oil, so not only will it add a major luminous finish to the top of the skin, but it will actually be hydrating and boosting the natural glow within the skin as well. This shade is in Cosmic Dancer and it is one of the most beautiful cream illuminating products that I have tried yet! I would also like to add that the packaging from Ilia is gorgeous SO SLEEK SO FAB

I love to pull out all of my cream blush products in the warm summer weather, and this RMS Lip2Cheek blush in the shade Demure has been the perfect addition to my summer beauty roundup. It is a cool pink toned blush that is my favourite colour to go for when I want to add a lot of freshness into the skin -- something about cool pinks just really wakes up the complexion and gives a very 'alive' look. I used my beauty blender to apply this to the apples of the cheeks, but you can definitely use your fingers to pat on a flush of colour tot he apples of the cheeks. It is pigmented enough that you get a beautiful wash of colour on the skin, but not too pigmented that makes it easy to avoid going overboard. Products that can be applied to both the cheeks & lips are so great for those gals on the go, and it also creates a beautiful monochrome look. I was so happy to finally try out the RMS products and I am looking to try out their Living Luminizer next...

The 14e Cosmetics Aloe Nourish Foundation is one of the few foundations that I have tried where I can actually read the ingredients. I love that it features so many natural oils and it actually feels like you're putting something beneficial on the skin. It was quite a decent covering foundation -- definitely a medium/buildable coverage and it left such a gorgeous natural glow to the skin; almost luminous. It wasn't incredibly long lasting on the skin but I think that this would be so perfect mixed in with moisturizer and used as a tinted moisturizer -- IMAGINE THE GLOW! It even has an spf built into the product so you're getting the coverage AND protection that your skin needs. Regardless, this foundation is packed with ingredients that soother & hydrate the skin and it is an awesome pick for those with dry & sensitive skin. The products from 14e cosmetics are organic, vegan, AND cruelty-free so this foundation can basically do no wrong.

The picture above features all three of the base products applied onto my face. I love a fresh and glowing look for summertime and it's even better when this look can be achieved using all natural products. Thanks to Kiss  & Makeup for letting me try out organic & natural makeup -- I am so happy with how the products turned out!

If you're into the natural/organic/vegan/cruelty-free makeup & skincare scene, then I would definitely recommend checking out the Kiss & Makeup Apothecary Site -- they have so many fabulous & curated options for everyone. They are based in Vancouver (Canada) but have shipping options for anyone worldwide. I was so happy to try out natural makeup products and would recommend that you check them out if you have ever been curious as well!

Have you ever tried going fully natural with your makeup? What are some of your favourite products?
