Carry-On Skincare

I've headed on a quick trip home this week to visit the fam before taking off to Europe, and I thought I would share my travel - sized skincare bag with you all! When I travel for short periods of time, I try to condense and streamline my skincare products to the best of my abilities, and these are the products that made the cut...

I will never be without a lip balm, ever. I have permanently dry lips and am in constant need of moisturizing in that area. This Dr. Brandt Ceramidin Lip Balm is fantastic for those with INSANELY parched lips and I have been bringing it everywhere with me! I've also been really into Saje lately, and theirTravel Safe Kit has some amazing products to bring along with you on the plane. I use both the Peppermint Halo Rollerball and the Eater's Digest Rollerball - the peppermint for my nack muscles when travelling and the eater's digest to calm down bad tummy feelings. They're both awesome to have when you're on the go! The Safe Hands lotion is also amazing because it is a hand lotion and hand sanitizer in one - perfect for combating the overwhelming plane germs.

For skincare, I made the mistake of carrying my Mario Badescu Drying Lotion (excellent spot treatment, definitely recommend) and it actually spilled all over my suitcase and destroyed my beloved Mango Leather Jacket (RIP). I would recommend finding a non-spill-able alcohol based product for travel -- I am open to suggestions!

For an added hydration boost, I carry the small sized MV Organics Rose Plus oil, it's a great addition to layer underneath your regular skincare routine when your skin is feeling extra parched.

I have a strange obsession with travel sized skincare, the bottles are just so stinkin' cute and I have an entire drawer dedicated to my travel sized skincare hoarding problem. This tiny Bioderma Micellar Water bottle is one of my favourite carry-on additions and it's my makeup remover of choice when traveling, along with the MV Organics Gentle Cream Cleanser. The MV Organics has this amazing Rose Soothing Protective Moisturizer that I use throughout the day paired with their Rose Hydrating Mist. Can you tell I'm into moisturizing? For a night cream, my all time favourite product, the Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask, comes in the most adorable travel sized version that you can pick up in the Sephora aisle of doom. All of these products are travel sized and are incredible options for those of you with very dry and sensitive skin.

The remainder of the bag hosts the random tidbits that are tossed in - Q-tips, cotton pads, kleenex, and a set of wet ones antibacterial wipes just in case I need to wipe anything down on the plane. I also grab the Simple Eye Makeup Remover Wipes which also come in a smaller travel sized version for when my eye makeup is extra packed on and the Bioderma needs a little help. Shoppers Drugmart has a fabulous travel section where they have a TON of products available in travel friendly sizes, and I usually  attack that area for adorable small things before I travel.

And that sums up the entirety of my travel skincare -- what products do you love to travel with? Let me know in the comments! xo
